A Novel High-Power Rotary Waveguide Phase Shifter Based on Circular Polarizers

This paper presents a novel high-power rotary waveguide phase shifter based on circular polarizers specifically engineered for microwave (HPM) applications. The is capable of performing precise 360° linear shift through rotation and consists three parts: linearly polarized to left-handed circularly (LP-LHCP) mode converter, right-handed (LH-RHCP) (LP-RHCP) converter. analyzes the phase-shifting principle, optimizes parts X-band shifter, conducts simulation studies entire which made aluminum. results show that reflection less than −20 dB insertion loss below 0.3 within 9.5 GHz 10.2 GHz. equal twice angle this frequency range. Specifically, can achieve when rotated from 0° 180°, with maximum deviation 1.2°. Moreover, power-handling capacity in vacuum exceeds 242 MW. In meantime, prototype was manufactured, experimental are good agreement results.
